Andraé Crouch Born 1942 and died in 2015
Reputed to be the father of modern gospel, Andraé Crouch has been a music lover since he was a child and asked his mother to buy a piano for his birthday. However, the mother, who couldn't buy the piano, wrote the keyboard on the cardboard and hit it almost every day, playing the melody in her head.
One day, the pastor's father took Andre with him to the service of another church. The rally was scheduled for that day, but the piano accompaniment did not come due to clumsiness. When he was at a loss what to do, his father asked Andre, "Son, would you like to use it for God if you were given a talent for music?" Andre nodded, and his father laid on of hands to Andre. I prayed that he would be given the gift of music.
He said, "Son, play for God," and let Andre sit in front of a real piano for the first time in his life. Andre always started playing as if he was hitting the cardboard keyboard. It was a wonderful rally that day with a miraculous accompaniment that I couldn't think of for the first time.
Since then, Andre has won numerous Grammy Awards as a gospel singer and producer, and has become a minister as his father's successor. He kept his promise with his father when he was little, praised the Lord for the rest of his life, lived his life, and was greatly used by God.
